Hi,
My name is Branny and this is really random, but that's my cousin you've just posted about. I did a google search on his name to find out more about him (our entire family, including his immediate family did not know that he was THAT talented until we read his eulogy) and your blog popped up.
I hope you're holding up okay. <3.

Branny,
Thanks for posting. I waited until after the funeral to make any comments about Yian in hopes that I don't surprise any of the family. I worked closely with Yian for several years while I worked at UCLA. At the time I was taking undergraduate classes in Physics and any question I asked Yian he always knew the answer. He was simply the most brilliant person I have ever met. But even more then that he was one of the best and most well rounded people I had ever known. His passing was a definite shock to me. I wish I could write more about Yian but everything I can say will fall short of how great he really was. I hope you will pass on my regards to the rest of the family. Please contact me directly if you wish to speak to me more: harshblogger@hypercubed.com.
